CLEVELAND – A day after claiming the MAC West Offensive Player of the Week for the third time in the last four weeks, Western Michigan outside hitter Maggie King has been named the MAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Week.
King tallied 41 kills (5.13/set) on a .304 hitting percentage and added 33 digs for an average of 4.13 per set in Western Michigan's two matches last week.
In a straight-set win over Miami on Friday night, King paced the Broncos with 19 kills on a .438 hitting percentage, served up a pair of aces and came one dig shy of a double-double.
