Broncos Fall to No. 20 Akron, 1-0

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's soccer team dropped its first Mid-American Conference contest of the season, falling 1-0 to Akron at the WMU Soccer Complex on Thursday.

The Broncos were unable to find the back of the net despite ten total shots with five on goal. The lone goal came in the 25th minute by Akron's junior Joel Sangwa with a ball from Jason Shokalook.

"I thought it was a really competitive college soccer match. In the first half, Akron had some extended periods where they had us unbalanced and chasing a little bit.
