ST. LOUIS -- The Drake cross country programs were recognized as some of the top contenders for the Missouri Valley Conference title according to MVC coaches.
Bulldog men's cross country has been slotted first in the MVC with 10 out of 11 first place votes. The Drake men's XC squad returns its core of senior Isaac Basten (2022 MVC Cross Country Championships medalist), junior Aziz Jdai (fifth place at 2022 MVC Cross Country Championships) and junior Enzo Marie (eighth place at 2022 MVC Cross Country Championships). Basten is a five-time NCAA Track & Field All-American.
